I've written the blurb for the story, so i guess that came in handy!
The islands have become an urban legend; some are rather sketchy on its existence, the way International Genetics wish to keep it. In the recent years, John Hammond; the founder and owner of International Genetics (InGen), the company which legally bioengineered prehistoric creatures on a nearby island in Costa Rica, has unfortunately passed on, leaving his nephew; Peter Ludlow, who amazingly survived the ordeal 10 years ago, to the owner of InGen and the Costa Rican islands.
Unidentified giant lizards are making appearances along the coastal villages of Costa Rica… Now the decision on the islands fate rest in Peter Ludlow’s hands. He calls the few people as to which he knows have seen these amazing creatures up close and personal…

Sorry but the part with Ludlow simply doesn't work. He definitely got eaten. Besides, he never really cared about the fate of the island, that was the whole point of the character in The Lost World.

Is this a TLW prequel? Because there is no way Ludlow could have survived at the end of TLW.

I agree, but my JP friends all suggested bringing a new character into the picture, as the new C.E.O of InGen, just wouldnt feel the same...And it was recommended that he survived the Rex attack, by scampering into one of the many boxes in the cargo, and his cries for help were heard when the Rex's were let out. I'm certainly thinking about changing the character though. Many people have told me not to kill Hammond, but i thought, if i kill him off during the book, it makes it sound a bit cheesy? So i thought it would sound better, by him dying in the previous years. And, he was basically on his death bed in TLW, so i thought its what would be best. Do you think i should change Ludlows character into someone else?

First of all, it was clearly implied that the baby T-Rex uses him as hunting practice thus kills him. It would be totally out of place for it to not kill him because in a deleted scene which you can read from the script and comic adaptation of TLW Ludlow drunkenly steps on the baby's leg thus his death has a karma in it. His death is meant to have a point because hes the pre-established antagonist to Malcolm's group. So he was sadly meant to die to serve the story. None of this is easy to tell in the movie because of it's sloppy character structure but trust me, that's how it was meant to go. So you'd be better off making a totally new character.

[/quote] Yes, I completely agree. I knew about all those scenes...but, my friends just felt that it would feel weird introducing a new C.E.O to InGEN. I agree with them, but more so with this topic. It was certainly implied that he died...and my friends didnt seem to understand, and their explanation of his survival seemed to fit in well with the story. Well, I am very glad that this was spotted before publishing this story, so thank-you for this But anyway, back to the topic. Besides the Ludlow issue, which should be resolved in the next week or so, would you have any suggestions for the name? Like one of the topics on this site, I do agree with 'THE EXTINCTION' being used one to many times, and think a new...unthought of name should be used. I always liked - JURASSIC PARK IV: THE ESCAPE - but, I personally think sounds too much like the first Jurassic Park?

Why not use JP: Evolution, like the story were evolving to a new state?
I don't know what character you should use but someone fresh who isn't from Hammond's family but still knows his/her responsibility involved let alone respects the animals as a force to be reckoned with.

Blurb has been written! Here it is everyone:
The islands have become an urban legend; some are rather sketchy on its entire existence, the way International Genetics wish to keep it. In the recent years, John Hammond; the founder and owner of International Genetics (InGen), the company which genetically engineered the DNA of prehistoric creatures on a nearby island of Costa Rica, has unfortunately passed on, leaving his company, the dinosaur-beset islands, and most importantly; his life’s work, to his most trusted employee; Frederick Delouise.
Unidentified Giant Lizards begin making appearances in the famous Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve....InGen is immediately informed, and the survivors from the past are thrown back into the equation for one last battle for survival.
